All Tidewater Genealogical Society memberships run from 1 January to 31 December. This means all memberships expire on 31 December. If payment is received after 1 October, membership will be extended until 31 December of the following year.
There are two types of membership: one with e-mail of the Quarterly, $30 and one with mailing of a physical copy of the Quarterly, $55.
The Virginia Tidewater Genealogy publication, aka Quarterly, plus notices of meetings and events are posted on the TGS website and delivered through e-mail blasts. It is important that an e-mail address is provided on the Membership form in order to receive these notifications.
Maintainance of our membership database is done by volunteers. After the receipt of payment, it may take a numbers of days to process.
New memberships will receive an e-mail that their information has been added to the database and instructions concerning logging into the Members Only section and updating their profile.
Renew memberships will receive an e-mail that their current membership has been renewed.
